Maritza genuinely finds joy in helping others! Perhaps it is her ever calming voice and confidence that adds to her ability to maintain a level of calm, changing the often stressful home buying experience into a smooth and pleasurable one instead. Understanding the emotional tension that can occur during the home buy/sell process, Maritza utilizes her extensive customer service skills to relax the client and put their minds at ease. Maritza attended college for Hotel/Motel management and worked for Marriott for many years where she honed her listening skills to address client complaints or service needs in a seamless fashion. After Marriott, Maritza worked in leasing apartments. It was this experience which led her to realize that she truly enjoyed helping others find a home. It took several years, but Maritza finally jumped head first into real estate, obtaining her license and joining the Nicole Hanson Group where she can realize her dream of helping clients find their dream homes.

Maritza purchased her first home at 27 years old and rehabbed it from the bottom up! Since then she has bought and sold several homes, remodeling each one along the way to make it a dream home for the next buyer. With each purchase, Maritza told herself, “My next home will be move in ready!”. It never is, so Maritza knows all too well the emotional roller coaster that comes with buying and selling a home, and it has left her with a mission to help others in the same situations along the way.

Originally from Illinois, Maritza and her husband moved with their 3 children to NWI and have enjoyed every moment of what the area has to offer. Maritza and her family also have a rescue dog named Ditka. Yes! She is a huge Chicago Bears fan! In her spare time you can find Maritza catching a game or spending time outdoors with her children, or quite possibly showing a home right in your neighborhood!
